Aslan Motion Technologies LLC ("Aslan") warrants that each Aslan product will not fail because of a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use for 12 months from the date it ships to the original purchaser. This warranty is limited to manufacturing defects. It is not a certification of fitness for any application.
By purchasing or using an Aslan product, you agree to this warranty. If you do not accept it, do not use the product, and return it unused for a refund under our Returns policy.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and is in addition to, not in place of, any rights you have under consumer or other laws where you live, which vary by state, province or country. Except as the law permits, Aslan does not exclude, limit or suspend those rights.
Who and where it covers
This warranty covers genuine Aslan products bought from aslanmotion.com or an authorized Aslan reseller, and applies only to the original purchaser. It is valid only in the United States and Canada, and warranty service may be available only in the country where you bought the product. We may ask for proof of purchase before providing warranty service.
What is covered
- A product that fails to operate to its published specification because of a defect in materials or workmanship, under normal use within its rated limits
What is not covered
- Misuse, accident, crash, impact, water or fire damage
- Operation beyond the rated voltage, current, temperature or other published limits
- Incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, short circuits or improper installation
- Damage from static discharge or improper handling
- For motors: damage from overload, stall or overtemperature, or from improper mounting, including over-length fasteners or a bent or struck shaft
- Modification, repair by anyone other than Aslan, or firmware other than that supplied or approved by Aslan
- Normal wear, including motor bearing wear, cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents, or consumable items
- Any damage to the vehicle, aircraft, vessel, payload or system the product is installed in
- Products not bought from Aslan or an authorized Aslan reseller
- Products whose serial number, label or PCB assembly marking has been altered or removed
Your remedy
If Aslan confirms that a product failed under normal use during the warranty period because of a defect in materials or workmanship, Aslan will at its option repair the product or the defective part, replace it, or refund the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product. Repairs may use new or refurbished parts. Replacements may be new or refurbished units of the same model or, if that model is unavailable, the model closest in form, function and performance. Parts and products Aslan replaces become Aslan's property.
A repaired or replacement product is warranted for the remainder of the original term or 90 days from the date Aslan ships it to you, whichever is longer. Unless a mandatory provision of local law says otherwise, repair, replacement or refund is your sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty.
If a product fails after the warranty period, or the failure is not covered by this warranty, Aslan may charge a fee to diagnose and service it, whether or not the repair succeeds.
RMA process
- Email cs@aslanmotion.com with your order number, the product SKU, for electronics the PCB assembly number and revision printed on the board, a description of the fault and the conditions it occurred under, and photos if possible.
- We may ask for logs, configuration or further detail to diagnose the fault.
- If the claim appears to be covered, we issue an RMA number and email you a prepaid return shipping label. Ship the product within 14 days, packed to prevent static or transit damage.
- We evaluate the product within 10 business days of receipt.
- Covered: the repaired or replacement product ships to you at Aslan's cost. Not covered or no fault found: we will tell you why, and return the product at your cost or quote a repair.
Limitations
Subject to your rights under local law, this warranty is the only warranty Aslan gives for its products, and no one else may give a warranty on Aslan's behalf. If local law gives you any implied warranty, including an implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, it lasts only as long as this warranty. Some states, provinces and countries do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limit may not apply to you.
Unless local law provides otherwise, Aslan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of the system the product is installed in, loss of data, downtime or lost profits, even if Aslan was advised of the possibility and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. If you have any right to a remedy beyond repair, replacement or refund, Aslan's liability is limited to the price you paid for the product. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
Each part of this warranty applies to the fullest extent local law permits. If a court or arbitrator finds any part unenforceable, that part will be replaced with an enforceable term as close as possible to the original, or removed, and the rest of this warranty stays in effect.
